When a Landlord calls me up distraught, I know it's bad. This was the worst yet. Holes in the walls, peeling ceiling from stickers, caked on dander from years of neglect, a sink so dirty I had to reach for my steam cleaner.
Tips For Tenants:
Ceiling Fan Blades (switch off at the wall) - Clean one per week while your coffee is brewing
Windows - clean one per week when the TV ads are on
Front Glass Screen Door - Clean once monthly for neighborly good clean vibes
Bath/Shower - wipe weekly while you're washing off the body soap
Self cleaning oven? Switch on for 3hr (everything turns to ash) - do this while sunbathing/sunshading (if you don't have one ask for an upgrade)
Sinks/Tubs - fill up with dish soap and a smidgen of bleach overnight - it cleans while you sleep
Spider Web Control - use a duster with a 1-2 drops Rosemary oil and dust all the ceiling corners and upper windows - do this while you're jamming to some music
